Ari Tarigan PhD

Ari Tarigan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Safety, Economics, and Planning, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Stavanger, Norway. He engages with city and regional planning group where he teaches courses related to technical planning and urban infrastructure. Ari obtained his Doctoral of Engineering in Transportation Engineering and Planning from Kyoto University, Japan and Master of Science in Urban Infrastructure Engineering from IHE Delft, Netherlands. He has published several articles within the topics of road safety, traffic engineering, travel behaviour, transportation planning, and urban planning. Prior to working in academia, Ari Tarigan was a project engineer in a construction company and a research institution in Norway. Ari is one of the laureates of the Åsgard-Research Programme 2020, which is a scientific cooperation program of the French Embassy in Norway.

Ayda Joudavi

Ayda Joudavi is a Ph.D candidate at the university of Stavanger working on Green Coin project. She got her first master’s degree in 2016, in Architecture and urban planning with a special approach to post-disaster and post-war reconstruction of the built environment, from Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran, Iran (SBU). She obtained her second Master’s degree in ‘City and Regional planning’ from the University of Stavanger (UiS) in 2020.
During her Master’s studies at UiS she has been engaged with different subjects about sustainable urban development especially projects regarding decreasing GHG emissions in urban environments. Her Master’s thesis was about the potential use of solar energy on a neighborhood scale.

Chandra Prakash Paneru

Chandra Prakash Paneru is a PH. D student at the University of Stavanger. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He completed his first master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Technology from the University of South-Eastern Norway. Chandra was a European graduate trainee for two years at a multinational company and worked as National Product Data Specialist for one and half year. In 2020 he graduated from the University of Stavanger, with a second master’s degree in City and Regional Planning with specialization on urban renewable energy solutions, sustainable city development, and the physical design of the city. 

Cristian Tosa PhD

Cristian is supporting the Greencoin project team as a postdoc at the Department of Safety, Economics and Planning. He had been researching and teaching at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), he spent his doctoral studies at Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia) and carried out a postdoc fellowship at Nagoya University (Japan). He is passionate about research in city and regional planning, specifically on assessing the correlation between human activities and the built environment, aiming to a more sustainable future society and cleaner environment.
